Surrounded by one of the biggest beechwoods in Europe, Cappadocia is located near the entrance of the Natural Park of Mounts Simbruini. It once belonged to the Orsini family, but later it was ruled by the Colonna family, up until feudalism was abolished.
Many sport enthusiasts come here to ski, snowshoeing o bike around the woods. Both in summer and winter there are many different cultural and food events.
Thanks to its position, just a few kms away from the border with the region of Lazio, Cappadocia is one of the towns crossed by pilgrims walking to the Santissima Trinità. Be sure not to miss the grottos of Beatrice Cenci and of Cola.
A perfect destination for nature lovers, Cappadocia is home to the oldest beech forest in Europe. It is possible to practice long snowshoeing in winter and mountain biking in summer.
