Avezzano. From the 18th to the 21st of November 2022 there will be events all over Italy to plant new trees.

Trees are our most precious allies in the struggle against climate change: they absorb CO2, produce oxygen, fight carbon emissions and air pollution, prevent hydrogeological risk, and the loss of biodiversity.

The initiatives of the 2022 Tree Festivals are part of the European project “Life Terra” – In collaboration with Legambiente – and has the goal of planting 500 million trees all over Europe.

The FIDAPA BPW ITALY also joined the project with the international theme 2021-2024 “New Actions Through Cooperation”.

On the 21st of November, the Avezzano section of the Fidapa will join the event organized by the Juridical Center of the Citizen and by the town of Avezzano, thanks also to the collaboration of other associations of the territory, to contribute to our planet’s wellbeing. Our associate, Gina Onorato, will join the event.

The event will be held in the Pinetina in Avezzano at 9:30 a.m., along with the students from I.I.S. A. Serpieri, I.I.S. Galileo Galilei and I.C. Collodi-Marini.
